Coming from the north region of Timor, from the ethnic group of Biboki, this sarong has a distinctive colors and motifs from the ethnic group. Biboki ethnic group has a distinctive motif called Buna with variations of Ikat technique based on the social class. Ordinary people would have two up to three Ikat, while the higher the class, the Ikat would go up to five.

Colors also play an important role. In the tradition of Timor, Nuit (red) is the most highly valued, followed by Meton (blue-black).
